It's been a busy few months of 2025, but what an exciting last week, as Authorized Appraisers from around the world specializing in Fine Arts, Antique Furnishings +Decorative Arts, and Gems/Jewelry gathered in DC for education and networking!
The opening day of the International Society of Appraisers Assets 2025 Conference in DC was fantastic! This day focused on tours, and our Fine Arts Committee excelled by organizing four tours to the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, National Gallery of Art, The Phillips Collection, and National Portrait Gallery!
As the Fine Arts Chair of ISA, I had the honor of leading our tours to The Phillips Collection and National Portrait Gallery, and we were fortunate to have Dena Crosson, a Docent at Phillips, who guided us through the wonders of this former home and the Timeless Mucha Exhibit. Curators Charlotte Ickes and Josh T Franco, along with Educator Vanessa Jones, led us through the Felix Gonzales-Torres and James Baldwin Exhibits at NPG.
Here's a short video from the Contemporary Floor of the National Portrait Gallery!
